Strain Urges Return of Ag Census Forms

Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mike Strain is urging farmers and ranchers to be sure and return their Census of Agriculture questionnaires by May 25th.

"Right now in Louisiana we have a return rate of just over 44%.  Some other states have a return rate of about 60%. Of course we'll be sending out census questionnaires by mail IF you request it by May 25th," said the commissioner.

"The results will represent Louisiana's diverse agriculture and rural communities in very vital local and national decisions.  Please respond to the Ag Census today at AgCensus.USDA.Gov or by calling 888-424-7828," stress Strain.
