Louisiana Prospective Plantings: Corn & Cotton Take Double Digit Drop

Louisiana farmers are planning to plant 18 percent less cotton acreage and 10 percent less corn acreage this year, according to the Louisiana Prospective Plantings Report released by USDA Thursday. Rice acreage is expected to increase by four percent, while soybean acres are expected to increase by three percent.
