Louisiana Leaders Optimistic About Cuba Relations

Despite President Donald Trump’s new policy ordering tighter restrictions on trade and travel with Cuba, Louisiana leaders say diplomatic relations between the two countries will continue. The U.S. International Trade Administration reported that in 2016 Louisiana — known for its rice, flour and sugar exports — did more business with Cuba than any other state.
