Strain Representing Louisiana Agriculture Across the Country

After spending several days last week in Cooperstown, New York, at a meeting of the Northeast Agriculture Commissioners Association meeting, Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mike Strain is in Cleveland, Ohio, today for a meeting of the Central United States Agriculture Commissioners.

Strain is serving this year as president of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture.

The commissioner says they’ll not only be talking about agriculture issues specific to the central US but also what is common to agriculture across the country.

“Part of my goal this year is to raise the voice and presence of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture across  this great nation,” Strain said during his report on The Voice of Louisiana Agriculture Radio Network.
