Louisiana Milk Production Down 27 Percent from Previous Quarter

Louisiana milk production during the July - September 2017 quarter was 32 million pounds, unchanged from the same period in 2016 but down 27 percent from the April - June 2017 quarter. The average number of milk cows on farms during the quarter was 12,000 head, unchanged from the same period last year and the previous quarter.
